# Chinese robot maker Unitree set to become China's first humanoid robot stock

> Chinese robot manufacturer Unitree has opened subscriptions for a Shanghai initial public offering aimed at raising about $900 million for investment. The Hangzhou-based company produces quadruped robots and humanoid machines intended eventually to work alongside people or perform physical tasks in their place. China accounted for roughly 90% of humanoid robots sold worldwide last year.
