WorldWill an ‘Islamic Nato’ protect Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey?

Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey have signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, declaring that an attack on one partner would be treated as an attack on all three. Some analysts have labelled the pact between majority-Muslim powers an “Islamic Nato”, although the signatories themselves have not used that term.
