> Monday marks one year since Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif was killed in an Israeli strike on a media tent outside Al Shifa Hospital. He was 28 and became one of Gaza’s defining voices through his coverage of bombardment, displacement and hunger. Gaza’s Media Office says 257 Palestinian journalists and media workers have been killed since October 2023. The figure includes 11 Al Jazeera staff members, while the war and dangers facing journalists continue.
