> Iran says it is close to concluding a pact with Oman that would establish new shipping lanes between the two countries through the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran repeated that the strategic waterway will not be reopened until the United States meets additional conditions. Those demands include compensation, an end to sanctions and the cessation of military threats. The comments come as vessel traffic through the strait is being followed live.
