> Taiwan’s military conducted a beach exercise in the Penghu Islands in the Taiwan Strait. M60A3 tanks, artillery and anti-aircraft guns were used to rehearse a response to a Chinese assault. The exercise portrayed a “multi-layered” defense of the islands. Penghu is viewed as a potential first target in an attack by China.
