> Iran’s national security chief has set out demands that Washington must meet before Tehran reopens the Strait of Hormuz. The conditions include ending the US naval blockade of Iranian ports, paying compensation for war damage and releasing frozen Iranian assets. Separately, Iran and Oman say they are close to an agreement on how to manage the strategic waterway. The developments link the strait’s reopening to both US concessions and an emerging Iranian-Omani arrangement.
