WorldTyphoon Dolphin batters parts of East and Southeast Asia

Typhoon Dolphin has struck parts of Japan and China with torrential rain and powerful winds. It is described as the strongest tropical cyclone to hit China this year. More than 50,000 buildings in Japan lost power, while over one million people were evacuated in China. In the Philippines, the storm intensified monsoon rains and produced waist-deep flooding in some areas.
