WorldIran Talks Offer Little Relief for Hormuz Shipping

Iran and Oman continue talks on a temporary arrangement for shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Attacks on regional energy infrastructure and major disputes over transit rules are making the negotiations more difficult. Even if an agreement is reached, shipowners and traders expect it could take weeks before shipping conditions improve. The discussions therefore offer limited immediate relief for the strategically important waterway.
