> Ukraine paid tribute Saturday to Oleksii Yukov, a volunteer remembered for more than two decades of recovering the bodies of civilians and soldiers. Known as the “collector of souls,” Yukov worked to ensure the dead received proper burials. Many of the bodies he recovered were those of Russian soldiers or civilians killed in fighting in Ukraine. His work extended across the divisions created by the conflict, focusing on recovering the dead and returning them to burial.
