EconomyCEO Greg Abel Starts Making His Mark at Berkshire

Berkshire Hathaway has increased spending under CEO Greg Abel, buying back about $4.5 billion of its own shares and directing billions more toward investments. Bloomberg Intelligence and senior P&C insurance equity analyst Matthew Palazola says Abel appears to be placing greater emphasis on operations and on putting Berkshire’s huge cash reserves to work. The moves point to an early change from Warren Buffett’s final years leading the company.
