> Delaware Senator Chris Coons described the Senate’s current agenda and expressed confidence that lawmakers can complete the necessary votes. He said the chamber is seeking to pass a government funding bill that would prevent a shutdown through December. Coons stressed the consequences for federal employees and the country’s global standing. He also voiced support for the recently passed Lindsey Graham Russia sanctions act, saying it is intended to deter Russian aggression in Ukraine.
