> Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan have agreed to a joint defence arrangement declaring that an attack on one member would be treated as an attack on all three. The deal follows US and Israeli strikes on Iran on 28 February. Tehran and its allies then targeted Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, while disrupting shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea. The Mecca agreement has prompted a sharp response from Tehran.
