EconomyUS nonfarm payrolls fall in July as unemployment rate eases

The US economy unexpectedly lost jobs in July. Nonfarm payroll figures for the preceding two months were also revised sharply downward. The weaker employment picture is prompting questions about whether the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next month.
