> Saudi Arabia has brought Turkey and Pakistan into a collective defense arrangement as the war involving Iran moves closer to the kingdom. The three countries signed a NATO-style mutual defense pact in Mecca on Friday. It turns their longstanding security ties into an alliance under which an attack on any one member is to be treated as an attack on all three. The pledge could pull Turkey and Pakistan into a conflict they have carefully avoided entering.
