> Leading Indian activist Sonam Wangchuk says recent youth-led protests have weakened Prime Minister Narendra Modi “terribly.” His hunger strike helped galvanise the movement. Wangchuk told the BBC that the country’s mood shifted after mass demonstrations led to the education minister’s resignation on 25 July. He said young people now feel more confident that they can change things if they choose to, rather than simply accepting everything without resistance.
