Imade, a 23-year-old deaf migrant from Morocco, is building a new life in Spain. In Barcelona, he works as a kitchen porter and studies Catalan sign language to manage the communication barriers caused by his deafness. He also faces social isolation and the complexities of immigration bureaucracy. Imade left Morocco at 16 without telling his parents, after failing to find work to support his large family and fearing he would become another mouth to feed. Now, he is trying to return home for the first time since leaving.
