HealthOrgan nonprofit Network For Hope shut down amid allegations donors may have been alive

Health and Human Services has revoked certification for Kentucky-based organ procurement group Network For Hope over allegations that it failed to follow required safety procedures. TJ Hoover was hospitalized after suffering cardiac arrest. His family says donor evaluation continued even though medical staff documented improving neurological function. Hoover survived, and Network For Hope says it will appeal the decision.
