> Explosions were reported on Iran’s southern Qeshm Island. Iranian state media said the operation targeted what it described as hostile targets. The incident comes as tensions remain high around the Strait of Hormuz after a brief period of de-escalation between Iran and the United States. Iran’s parliament is considering a draft bill to tighten Tehran’s control over the strategic waterway, including restrictions and possible fines for vessels from the US, Israel and other countries.
