> US President Donald Trump has signed two executive orders aimed at restricting birthright citizenship in the United States. The measures broaden the categories of children who could be denied automatic US citizenship. They also target so-called “birth tourism” by directing the secretaries of state and homeland security to tighten procedures for travelers seeking to give birth in the country. The orders form part of Trump’s wider immigration crackdown.
