> President Donald Trump defended Pete Hegseth after a report described a disagreement over shrinking US weapons stockpiles. The report had prompted questions about whether the Pentagon chief would remain in the administration. Trump wrote on social media Thursday that he was extremely happy with Hegseth’s performance. He also called the US attacks on Venezuela and Iran extraordinary, saying Iran had been decimated.
