PoliticsEU moves to tighten border controls after Ceuta migration crisis

The European Union held an informal meeting on Tuesday to address the mass arrival of migrants in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. Officials discussed measures to strengthen controls along the bloc’s external borders. The plans also call for faster repatriation of undocumented migrants and additional support for Spain. Katerina Glyniadaki, a fellow at the European Institute, offered her assessment of the issue.
