PoliticsLIVE: Senate votes on holding Dr. Fauci in contempt

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee is expected to vote on whether Dr. Anthony Fauci should be held in contempt of Congress. Fauci, formerly the United States’ leading infectious-disease expert, could face criminal prosecution after declining to answer more than 100 Senate questions about his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. The dispute with Republican lawmakers may test how far Congress can go in compelling testimony.
