Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi rejected claims that Tehran is currently negotiating with Washington over the Strait of Hormuz. He said Iran’s discussions with Oman are strictly bilateral. In a televised interview with Iranian official media, he called the US assertion that negotiations were underway false and said there had been no talks. Earlier, Donald Trump said the strait would be reopened soon or he would order a harsh new attack.
