SportsFIFA accused of blackmail in exchange for support for Infantino

The head of the Jordanian Football Association has accused FIFA of blackmail, alleging that support for Gianni Infantino’s re-election was offered in return for paying the national team’s overdue reward. The payment concerns the team’s second-place finish in the Arab Cup. The allegation adds to mounting controversy surrounding Infantino and is described as arguably the most serious mark against him yet. In an initial response, Infantino convened a crisis meeting with other FIFA directors in Morocco.
