WorldHormuz Strait talks: Iran and Oman reportedly close to a deal

A senior diplomatic source tells Al Jazeera that Iran and Oman are nearing an agreement, with only one or two issues still unresolved. The source says a deal could be reached today or tomorrow if other parties do not interfere. Whether the Strait of Hormuz is closed or reopened will depend on possible US actions, rather than differences between Iran and Oman. There are currently no plans for Foreign Minister Araghchi to travel to Islamabad. Tohid Asadi reports from Tehran.
