Abdul El-Sayed is projected to win Michigan’s Democratic primary after a tight contest with Haley Stevens. Counting continued while neither candidate conceded the race. With about 75 percent of ballots reported, El-Sayed held an approximately 3 percent lead. Supporters waited for hours in Detroit as both candidates spoke to their respective backers.
