> Lebanon and Israel have held another round of direct negotiations in Rome, with the United States acting as broker. The meeting follows earlier discussions in Washington, where the two sides agreed on a framework deal. That framework includes disarming Hezbollah and arranging a gradual Israeli military withdrawal from southern Lebanon. Hezbollah’s chief rejected the talks, describing them as humiliating for Lebanon.
