> Bangladeshi journalist and fact-checker Shishir examines extrajudicial killings and disinformation after student-led protests ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2024. As the country moves through a political transition under new governance, he concentrates on challenging fake news and misleading narratives circulating online. Seeking to protect Bangladesh’s democratic integrity, Shishir establishes an independent organisation and works to mentor a new generation in fact-checking.
