PoliticsPolls close in New Zealand general election

Votes are being counted in New Zealand, where incumbent Prime Minister Christopher Luxon’s National Party and Chris Hipkins’ Labour Party are neck-and-neck. The centrist Opportunity Party crossed 5% to enter Parliament for the first time, while the major parties recorded historically low vote totals.
