PoliticsSpain, Italy, Greece and Cyprus to benefit from EU asylum solidarity scheme in 2027

The European Commission has designated four Mediterranean countries as facing migratory pressure, paving the way for asylum seeker relocations. The Ceuta crisis is expected to have little effect on numbers, while Hungary and Slovakia have not contributed to EU solidarity efforts.
