EconomyPutin seizes Japan Tobacco International’s Russian operations

A decree transferred Japan Tobacco International’s four Russian factories, about 4,000 employees and roughly 40% of the country’s cigarette market to a state-linked holding company. The move adds to a list of seizures that includes Nestlé, Auchan, Leroy Merlin and Metro.
