> Democrats say ending the war in Iran is among their top priorities after taking control of Congress in the US midterms. Pressure is mounting on Pete Hegseth over his role in the war, but President Donald Trump says the defence secretary will remain in office. Iran's security chief is in Moscow to deliver a message from the Supreme Leader to President Putin. Oil prices have risen again but remain below $100 a barrel following the election results.
