WorldRena Lee becomes first Singaporean elected to the International Court of Justice

Singaporean Rena Lee has been elected as one of the International Court of Justice’s 15 judges, becoming the first person from Singapore to serve on the UN’s highest court. She won 151 of 191 votes in the General Assembly and 13 of 15 in the Security Council, tying for the top vote count in both.
