# Carney says Russia will not be allowed to compete in World Juniors

> Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said Russia or Belarus would not be permitted to enter the 2027 World Junior Championships in Red Deer and Edmonton. Several European nations have also said Russia should be barred because of its ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
