EconomyDisney plans thousands of layoffs, seeks 20% cost savings

Walt Disney is moving toward cutting thousands of jobs and has asked some managers to target 20% in annual cost savings, people familiar with the private discussions said. Savings could come from eliminating roles as well as reducing expenses.
