# US midterms: The states that could decide control of Congress

> Americans are voting in crucial midterm elections, with control of Congress at stake. Michigan, Georgia, Maine, Iowa, New Hampshire, Texas and Ohio are among the states to watch. The results will shape the final two years of Donald Trump’s presidency. On Election Day, Trump also said the US would end roughly $4 billion in annual aid to Israel in 2027 while continuing military equipment sales. All 435 House seats and 35 Senate contests are on the ballot.
