> Kampala announced on Monday that it had begun withdrawing troops from Somalia. Uganda was the first country to deploy forces to help Mogadishu when the African Union established an international military mission in 2007 to fight al-Shabab. A FRANCE 24 report asks why Uganda is pulling out while the battle against the militants continues, with analysis from Horn of Africa specialist Anwar Abdifatah Bashir.
