EconomySingapore central bank sets aside S$30 million to build insurers’ infrastructure investment capabilities

Singapore’s central bank is allocating S$30 million to encourage insurers to invest more in infrastructure projects across Asia. The funding will support expertise-building, including dedicated teams and staff training. Asia-Pacific insurers hold more than US$10 trillion in investable assets but put only about 1% to 2% into infrastructure.
