EconomyJohor-Singapore Special Economic Zone draws nearly S$28 billion in approved investment

The Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone attracted nearly S$28 billion in approved investments from January last year through June this year. About 45% has been implemented, with projects expected to create nearly 29,000 jobs. The figures were shared at the first ministerial meeting between Singapore and Malaysia, ahead of the zone’s master plan launch in December. The plan will set out ways to attract investment and ease cross-border business and movement.
