A federal judge on Sunday dismissed the Justice Department’s suit seeking to segregate ballots and delay certification of Alaska’s Senate race. Judge Sharon Gleason said the federal government lacked standing to require ballot segregation, which would also violate voters’ right to a secret ballot, and added that it was too late for the court to act.
