CultureDay of the Dead: La Catrina skeletons parade through Mexico City

Mexico City will mark Day of the Dead on Saturday with a large parade. This year’s highlight includes a giant La Catrina, more than 30 metres tall, in the city’s main square. The pre-Hispanic tradition brings families together to remember the dead and celebrate life’s continuity, while participants wear masks and colourful costumes in the streets.
