Researchers say shoppers may want to rethink buying fast-fashion Halloween costumes, which often use synthetic materials and are discarded after a single wear. Javad Nasiry, a professor and director at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management, calls costumes a prime example of hyper-fast fashion and says research links rapid, low-cost production to large volumes of cheap synthetic materials.
