SocietySingapore leads long-term ASEAN plan on food security

Singapore is spearheading a long-term regional effort to protect Southeast Asia’s food supply from climate change and other disruptions, covering areas such as financing and emergency preparedness. A Singapore-led study projects that rice and maize production across the region could decline over the next two decades. Singapore is hosting ASEAN’s agriculture and forestry ministers for the first time in a decade.
