WorldUS Air Force’s ARRW hypersonic missile enters production

The U.S. Air Force signed a $694 million contract with Lockheed Martin on September 29 to produce and deploy the AGM-183A Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW). A solid-fuel rocket boosts it beyond Mach 5 before releasing a hypersonic glide vehicle, designed to strike heavily defended, high-value, time-sensitive targets from outside their defenses.
