> Singapore is launching its biggest energy infrastructure expansion in decades to meet rising electricity demand. Five new gas-fired plants are due to operate by 2031, lifting generation capacity by 26%. The plans also call for a second LNG terminal, seven transmission substations, more low-carbon electricity imports, expanded solar power and three times as much energy storage by 2030.
