SciencePuglia pilot uses treated wastewater to irrigate olive trees and combat drought

A pilot project in Puglia, southern Italy, is irrigating olive trees with treated wastewater to tackle drought and emerging pollutants. The molecule is generated by combining hydrogen peroxide and ultraviolet rays; results are expected in two years.
