EconomyIndonesia says gas supplied to Singapore remains within contractual limits

Indonesia defended cuts to natural gas deliveries to Singapore, saying supplies remain above the minimum set in existing contracts. Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong called on Sunday for commitments to be honored. Since Saturday, Indonesia has reduced daily deliveries and redirected gas to generate power in Batam, Bintan and Sumatra. The cut of about 31 million standard cubic feet a day amounts to roughly 8% of piped gas sent to Singapore.
