WorldFrench police arrest 135 as tens of thousands protest nationwide

France’s interior minister said 135 people had been arrested as tens of thousands joined protests across the country. Police earlier seized weapons and gas masks in Paris and said on social media that the city was calm. The marches follow last weekend’s riots and looting, which affected thousands of businesses and led to more than 2,700 arrests.
