President Prabowo Subianto told his Cabinet that Indonesia would not be intimidated by global index provider MSCI. MSCI said it could downgrade Indonesian equities to standalone-market status, saying the country had not adequately addressed coordinated trading practices. Prabowo also said permits would be revoked for companies found to have deliberately started forest fires.
