> Vice-president JD Vance criticized Republicans who condemned a controversial campaign ad by Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. The ad shows the mother of his Democratic opponent, Amy Acton, calling her daughter a liar. Acton’s brother, Philip Stearns, said she is estranged from their mother, who married a man who sexually abused Acton when she was 12.
